Making Mistakes

At times, I have to admit. -When I make a mistake, especially in class, there is a degradation of the ego. It’s embarrassing, it’s a relief, it’s enlightening. I think a lot of us need that and no, it wasn’t a slap in the face which makes the blow a lot easier, and thus, the reflection deeper and with less self-criticism.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could criticize without demeaning others?

Wouldn’t it be great if we could make mistakes without streams of blood and tears?

Or if hurting and tears cannot be helped, then a better question would be…

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all learn from our mistakes without thinking that we’re failures, losers, or plain dumb?

It’s a middle world we live in these days.

We want to be perfect, and when we’re not, we react in such a way that it brings us further from being exactly that.
